This year nearly 97% of candidates cleared the Education Common Entrance Test 2011 known as Ed.CET-2011. Ed.CET was conducted in 5 subject contents namely Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Social Studies, and English. Ed.CET is for admissions to B.Ed colleges across the State. 1,92,389 students have qualified in 1,97,420 students appeared for the exam. In qualifiers, 1,04,866 are women candidates and 87,523 are men. 65,000 seats are available in 615 B.Ed colleges in the Andhra pradesh State and another 2 more new B.Ed colleges are expected to get approval from NCET.
Ed.CET-2011 admissions are likely to be held in the third week of July through web-based counselling. Admissions and Fee Regulatory Committee is not finalize the fee structure for B.Ed courses this 2011 year.
